1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that the websites visited send to the user's device (computer, tablet, smartphone), where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same sites on the next visit. They are used to perform IT authentication, monitor sessions, store preferences and collect information about browsing. In addition to cookies, other tracking tools with similar functions may be used (e.g. pixels, local storage).
